Our new fenced in area...

...is going up! Love the French Gothic style. So much room to roam!

AND we have a 'River Rock' hill. Both were on top but by time I grabbed my phone only Zoe was at the top. Sunday the rock will be moved to its desisnated area. Thanks to the young worker in the orange jacket and his 'Bob Cat'! The front yard and sides are rock. We are going to add more rock to finish off the front of the deck.

That is one happy pup! Run Zoe, run! The fabric you see will be where the rock is going to be spread out on the side.

Better than a dog park...

Today is the beginning of the girls' new lifestyle~A fence will begin to go up today! The play area for them will be huge! At our last home we had a small yard plus a swimming pool in the middle with a sidewalk going all around. They did had some (grass) yard , but very little.

As you can see above they did have room to run, but it was on sidewalk. One advantage, it kept the nails sharp! lol No, I will not miss the pool, nor will DH miss maintaining it. Fun for almost 8 years, but we're done. But I have to say, I will miss the ducks...

This was taken last week as the snow was starting to melt.  See the deer? He will still have a place to walk, we bought the lot next door. And since we are the last house on a wooded cul de sac the deer will still have lots of area. Here is one in the pic. Yes, yes, yes I did hold my breath as he crossed the road. He was going to the golf course. Tee time?!??!  LOL Another was following close behind. *smile*
Another thing is we will NOT have a privacy fence as with the last house. Here we will be able to 'see' the world around us. And that my family and friends, is a good thing, :)

All moved...

Even with the snow and ice...we made it safe and sound. Here is Zoe, trying to decided if she likes the cold or not. Or even her new home for that matter! Not use to these tematures. It was 13 degrees when this pic was taken. They both did so well. One night in the empty 'old' house, then a hotel and then empty 'new' house. All the while they had their own kennels and the toys they sleep with. They kept me calm, they still are with all the unpacking yet to do.

Here is a side view...so pretty and yes, at night time they can smell and hear the 'wild'!

'Bout ready to rock their world!

Dh retired the last day of December. The 2nd week in January we took a trip to Bella Vista, Arkansas. We were pulling the RV and looking at 'houses'. 35 in 2 days! What a world wind! We did stay about 6 days, just to get a feel for the place.

The pups, as always did great. Yes, we found a lovely place in the wonderful retirement community! What's not to love with long and winding roads, trees, trees and more trees in what is called the Ozark Mountains. Not to mention 7 lakes and 8 golf courses! I believe 160 something holes. Now I don't fish nor golf but I find peace in this awesome location!

Here is the aftermath of a ice storm that had hit the area. The temps were above freezing so no ice on the roads! You can't see most of the mountains because of the fog, but oh so pretty!!

The girls will have a big backyard to roam. Here we have some yard but a pool takes up most...I know they will love it!

The front yard is rock. Wow...for us that is really different but I so love the 2 Magnolias trees.

Last Saturday, we made a turn around trip to drop off my car and a flatbed trailer. The girls did great with the drive. 5.5 hours each way. How they do love to travel. The day before we loaded the truck and trailer in 72 degree weather. Talk about perfect timing! Here is a pic the 'new neighbors' sent to us.

Wow...pretty good timing! My hope is that the snow will melt by Wednesday! Hey, a girl can HOPE! The girls are happy, just as long as they have a soft lap to sit in once in a while!
