As time passes...

Zoe wants to lay next to Sophie soooo bad!!! But for whatever reason Sophie wants no part of it. Once in a while if we are holding one, the other will sit next to each other. Have to be petting both for this to happen. Today, Sophie was not yet asleep and Zoe laid next to her. I watched to see what would happen. Sophie's ears went up, BUT she stayed right where she was instead of running off like she usually does. Wow this warmed my heart...

A new month...

The month of May was a long one for me. I was T-Boned in a parking lot and my car was in repair for 5 and half weeks! I didn't do much, to say the least.
Sophie had her 2ND birthday May 30TH. Yeah! Happy Birthday Sophie girl.
Well, its a new month. I have my car back as of yesterday evening so I took the girls today for a much need summer cut!

No need to hire a 'pool person'...

...when we have this awesome black bird~ He has been here for 2 days now. He is eating the June bugs from the pool! Now Sophie one the other hand is not so sure what to think nor happy!

We'rrrreee back.....

When we moved here 6 years ago, unbeknowest to us we had a duck and eggs behind a bush.
What a morning that was to wake up to mom duck, drake and 13 ducklings in the pool!

The 'pool' guys could not resurface the pool due to the fact they are 'federal proctect'. We all had to wait a few weeks for eggs to hatch. Once they did DH built a ramp.  She showed them how to follow her out of the pool (using the ramp), walk around and jump back in the water. This went on for about an hour. The we opened the back fence door...and out they went to a near by park with a pond!

 This went on for 3 years. Then...once the neighbor got a cat and the following year we got Sophie they stop coming.

Well....today they came by...for a visit!
