Silly girl...Zoe and her 'treasures'...

...she loves to find a 'treasure' and carry it around all day! This time she found this little doily that I had washed but dropped in the laundry room. She found it and better to have it with her bone too!

This was taken early yesterday morning, I apologize for the grainy picture. Usually Zoe will lay on top of the other sofa, which is on the other side of the short wall. But today, since DH is not up yet, she takes advantage of being here, on his couch. 

Or could it be that small empty white dish has the scent of last night Candy Corns!?!?!??!

I guess cats....

...aren't the only one that likes sitting in windows! An awesome cool morning. Taking advantage of the breeze! Ahhh ...all the sights and sounds, bring them both from one window to the other. Of course, DH put a chair in the kitchen window so they and really get a 'good view'! LOL

As time passes...

Zoe wants to lay next to Sophie soooo bad!!! But for whatever reason Sophie wants no part of it. Once in a while if we are holding one, the other will sit next to each other. Have to be petting both for this to happen. Today, Sophie was not yet asleep and Zoe laid next to her. I watched to see what would happen. Sophie's ears went up, BUT she stayed right where she was instead of running off like she usually does. Wow this warmed my heart...

A new month...

The month of May was a long one for me. I was T-Boned in a parking lot and my car was in repair for 5 and half weeks! I didn't do much, to say the least.
Sophie had her 2ND birthday May 30TH. Yeah! Happy Birthday Sophie girl.
Well, its a new month. I have my car back as of yesterday evening so I took the girls today for a much need summer cut!

No need to hire a 'pool person'...

...when we have this awesome black bird~ He has been here for 2 days now. He is eating the June bugs from the pool! Now Sophie one the other hand is not so sure what to think nor happy!

We'rrrreee back.....

When we moved here 6 years ago, unbeknowest to us we had a duck and eggs behind a bush.
What a morning that was to wake up to mom duck, drake and 13 ducklings in the pool!

The 'pool' guys could not resurface the pool due to the fact they are 'federal proctect'. We all had to wait a few weeks for eggs to hatch. Once they did DH built a ramp.  She showed them how to follow her out of the pool (using the ramp), walk around and jump back in the water. This went on for about an hour. The we opened the back fence door...and out they went to a near by park with a pond!

 This went on for 3 years. Then...once the neighbor got a cat and the following year we got Sophie they stop coming.

Well....today they came by...for a visit!

Gotta love this show...so cool my dh bought me a sauna! I don't know who was more excited, me or the girls!

The chair is sooo cute...but I was wondering if I could really 'fit' on it!! LOL  Well, the answer is YES!! Thank goodness!

When I put the chair in and sat down...Zoe was on my lap before I had a chance to know what was going on...I will spare you that pictures!! lol

I love it! Yes, I live in North Texas and why would I need/what a sauna you ask? Well, I get to sit and sweat! No bugs, no dirt in my hair and body (like when I work in the yard) it's awesome and I feel great afterwards! Now, do I get in the pool forward or after...

What dirt?

Me? Now, what makes you say I was in the DIRT??? Nope, not me....But don't call me a brown nose!  *smile*

Zoe' lost a toenail....

I have NO idea how....but all I know it's gone! The carpet had a small amount of blood (where is Ondrea when I need her) and followed a trail to her dog bed. Wow. That's a 'new to me' situation. As a child I lost a toe nail...it hurt A Lot! Well, I flipped it upwards, that's what hurt. Then much later, while bouncing on an old inner tube, my foot was underneath, and there it went. Flew right off. Anyway, Zoe' is fine, sleeping in her favorite evening spot, with 'dad'.  I will keep a close eye on it. I'm sure she'll be fine. Poor baby.

2 are nice....

but 4 Yorkie's is awesome!! Here are 2 older shaved males. They are brothers and just as sweet as can be. Zoe's is under the picnic table...her 'safe zone'.

Here Zoe' is playing, and Sophie has her eye out on her. Its really hard to take pictures...running this way and that way! Fun times!

Yes, she's sleeping!

Silly girl. Has an attraction to her 'ball'.  She takes it to bed with her at night. Good thing we have 2 the same.

Now Zoe' has her own thing too. After breakfast, she sit at the gate that closes the way to the back rooms. She wants her squirrel.  That's her 'baby' all day....until after her evening meal, then she goes to the gate again. This time...for the pink pig. She goes to sleep with both. Yea, silly silly girls!

Doggie Door...

Last week DH put in a dog door. I guess we getting tired of the 'in and out, in and out' sooooo...

Here you can see the bell they touch when they want to go outside. But, enough is enough! LOL

Sophie surprised me by being the first one to master the process. Zoe' took a couple of days....

But once they figured it out...wow look out! The only thing is I am cautious of what toys they bring outside but most importantly, what they BRING IN!!!! LOL I just need to do a little painting and all will be right with the world. 

Sophie's private space....

was invaded today, but she did not seem to mind. Too much. Since the weather is in the 70's we have been going on walks and this is rest time! Zoe' is doing great since her surgery. Back to her old self.

Zoe' is at the vet...

Today is her big day. She will be spayed and miro-chipped! Poor girl. But I look forward to her returning home later today.  All Sophie has done this morning is sleep. Could it be she is resting, in peace and quite?? LOL

Well, Zoe' is back home, safe and sound. She is so 'zoned out'. Here, she is. A little on the la la side...All is right with the world.

Rain, Rain, Rain

It's been a great week for much needed rain, but what's a puppy to do?!? So, dad buys matching ball and we watch the fun begin.

Helping me in the sewing room....

Zoe' loved tossing the spool of empty thread around and chasing it. Sophie on the other hand just wanted to hide and chew. Silly girls.
